We use diamond-tipped microdermabrasion heads which provide a superior result to crystal and hydro versions and are the preferred choice for acne management, pigmentation and general skin maintenance.  Vacuum suction is also used to unblock pores and remove debris from the skin. Micros can be tailored even to sensitive skins

Microdermabrasion is generally used in the treatment of acne, pigmentation, blocked pores and oily skin but it is often best used in conjunction with other treatment modalities for superior results.

We generally recommend fortnightly treatments to take control of your acne and then less frequently to maintain healthy skin. Our tailored approach to acne management ensures an effective treatment suitable for all ages and all skin types. It combines mechanical, chemical and light-based therapies to provide you with a highly effective treatment to combat acne. Other acne treatments include peels, LED, and fractional radiofrequency while we offer Fraxel, Dermal Needling and RF for acne scarring.

Q. HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

This will depend on the nature of your skin concern and your commitment to improving your skin.

If you suffer from severe acne you will initially need 6-8 treatments, starting 2 weeks apart and progressing to 4-week intervals.

We offer value packages to make this more affordable.

For anti-aging and general skin appearance monthly maintenance treatments are ideal although you may stretch these out a little longer.

Q. IS MICRODERMABRASION SAFE?

Absolutely. Microdermabrasion is a starting level treatment and as such it carries minimal risks and downtime.

Q. WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

None – you will be fine to go straight back to work or school after your treatment.

Depending on your skin type, you may experience a little dryness of the skin but we apply nourishment and moisturiser before you leave the clinic.

The skin may also appear redder than usual for the remainder of the day.

Q. WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?

Medical-grade microdermabrasion provides gentle facial rejuvenation and has been proven to be effective for fine lines; enlarged or blocked pores; acne and complexion issues; sun damage; age spots; keratoses; hyperpigmentation; uneven skin tone; oily skin; dry/patchy skin; acne scarring; black/whiteheads; stretch marks; and dull, lifeless skin.
