Q. HOW DOES MICRO-NEEDLING WORK?

The microneedling device is passed over the area of skin to be treated, and tiny needles cause minute punctures to the skin.

These small punctures stimulate the body’s inherent healing response, which naturally rejuvenates the skin.

Q. HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

3-6 sessions are recommended at 2-4 weekly intervals depending on the condition of your skin and desired results. Many clients opt for annual maintenance treatments to help hold back the signs of ageing.

Q. WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM A MICRO-NEEDLING TREATMENT?

You should experience an overall rejuvenation of the skin treated. Typically you can expect reduction in the depth of fine lines and wrinkles, reduction in the visability of scarring, as well as an increase in overall skin elasticity.

Q. HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE RESULTS FROM MICRO-NEEDLING?

Approximately 48 to 72 hours after the treatment you'll have an increase in collagen production which will continue for around 12 weeks (depending on your age, hormones and health). It will however, take four weeks or more to begin to see see noticeable results. The new collagen will last for several years, which is why micro-needling treatment is considered a very long lasting treatment and a great maintenance routine.

Q. WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT?

You may experience temporary redness and swelling in the treatment area, this will usually resolve after a few hours, although in some people the redness may last a few days.

Q. ARE THE TREATMENTS PAINFUL?

Using nano needles, most clients find the treatment painless and many even fall asleep during it.

PRE-TREATMENT

We cannot treat if you have any of the following:

• History of keloid scarring
• Auto immune disease
• Sunburn or irritation in the treatment area

POST TREATMENT

• Avoid direct sunlight for 2 weeks
• Avoid alcohol-based products for the first 24 hours as these can make your skin extremely dry.
• Avoid heavy exercise and hot showers or sauna /steam for 24 hours
• If you had a mesotherapy booster – do not apply any other products for 24 hours
• Use Issada Clinical Formula Recovery Cream or Issada Calming Probiotic Moisturiser for 3-5 days.
•Use Issada Sheer Defence SPF 50+ Sunscreen daily
• Do not apply make-up for at least 12 hours.
